Good addition to my shave den and travel kit

I’m retired and for the past two years have been traveling coast to coast training First Responders with setting up Peer Support Teams and how to better deal with the stressors from our personal and professional lives. I initially ordered this indestructible shave bowl to take with me when traveling as the varying water hardness levels I’ve been experiencing makes it difficult to face lather resulting in sub par shaves. I’ve been using this bowl at home since recently receiving it. I’ve tried it with 4 of my favorite soaps (hard and soft) and with various brushes ( boar, synthetic and silver badger). All soaps and brushes performed great using this bowl. Much better than other mugs and bowls I have at home. I’ll be heading out of state next month and have no doubt this indescribable bowl will meet my expectations and survive the gentle handling by the airline baggage handlers (haha).

The King of Shave Bowls

It holds heat very well. I like to heat the bowl with hot water and soak my razor and brush in it for several minutes. Then rinse the bowl again with hot water before adding Proraso cream. The ridges really make a very thick lather and the heat retention of the bowl heats up the lather very nicely. This is the best shaving bowl I have found. Good, heavy bowl; easy to lather

I admit I've never tried dropping it or running it over with my car. That said, it feels solid. I fill it with hot water, take a shower, then pour out the water and make a really warm later.

If there's one drawback, it's that the same metal construction that makes it tough, also means that it radiates heat, so for the second pass, the later is just luke-warm. I can get around this by living it in the sink filled with 2.5" of hot water (or maybe 50 mm) so that the water doesn't overflow the rim. Even when empty, this thing doesn't float like my older bowl!

Great bowl

I upgraded from a smaller stainless steel bowl to this and it has been a great experience. Plenty of room to get shaving cream mixed up and easy to clean. Definitely recommend.

Love it

After testing couple of other bowls, I descided to give this one a try, which honestly wasn't easy, since the high transport cost. Now that it's here and I've used it, no regrets. Hands down the best bowl I've tried.
